SCA Student Council Association

The Student Council Association (SCA) is comprised of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students who work to make Harrison and our community a better place. A representative from each class is chosen by the classroom members and teacher. The students meet as needed to plan activities and help with events. There are many different activities throughout the year that the SCA participates in including community food drives, visits to nursing homes, school spirit days, teacher appreciation activities and more. To help support their efforts, SMENCILS are sold throughout the year, see below for sale information.
Spirit Days Save Your Pop Tabs
Check the calendar for upcoming spirit days!

Schools, service organizations, churches, businesses and individuals collect pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Richmond. RMHC collects pop tabs instead of the entire aluminum cans because it is more hygienic to store tabs than cans, and collection and storage is easier. After we collect the tabs, we take them to local recycling centers, where they are weighed to determine their value. RMHC earns approximately 55¢ per pound of pop tabs. The recycling center will send RMHC of Richmond a check for the total value. There will be buckets on the school stage to collect the tabs.
