VSBA Art Contest

Following an in-depth review by a panel of judges comprised of arts educators from across the region, including Petersburg's Appomattox Regional Governor's School for the Arts and Technology and Richmond's Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies, the winning elementary, middle, and high school pieces were announced by VSBA Executive Director Gina Patterson to the group of over 100 school board members, superintendents, and other educational leaders.

Oronoz's piece and each winning work will be displayed on a rotating basis in the Virginia School Boards Association's office in Charlottesville throughout 2023. Additionally, thanks to a generous anonymous donation, the three first-place winners will also receive a gift certificate along with their certificates and ribbons in the coming weeks.
