Prince George SBMHT Wellness Fair

Join us for a day of support, fun, and community at our first-ever Wellness Fair!

Come out to Prince George High School on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a free, family-friendly event focused on complete wellness.

This event is open to all Prince George County residents! While registration is preferred, which is linked below, it is not required.

What to Expect at the Fair

• VENDORS & INFORMATION: During this year's event, there will a diverse selection of community vendors, including our partners from the Virginia Department of Health - Crater Health District, local mental health counseling agencies, and more! You will also be able to get valuable information about free and reduced-cost lunches during the upcoming school year, as well.
• VISION AND HEARING SCREENINGS: Members of PGCPS' Health Services Team will be on hand at the fair offering free vision and hearing screenings.
• FAMILY GAMES: Enjoy uplifting, positive family time in our family game space at this year's fair. 
• ENGAGING MINI-PANEL SESSIONS: Speakers during the Wellness Fair will host several mini-panels (approximately 20 minutes in length), with subjects targeting important topics to families, including:
  • The impact of social media on children & adolescents
  • Self care for parents
  • Preparing your child for kindergarten
  • Problem solving parent challenges with children and adolescents
• GIVEAWAYS: There will be opportunities for giveaways (while supplies last) for those attending the mini presentations that include resource books and food.
• MAKE & TAKE SESSIONS: Our elementary school counsellors will be hosting 'Make-and-Take' sessions throughout this year's fair focusing on "Calming Kits!" Parents will be able to make and take a calming kit home with them for their family that will have strategies and tools to use to help teacher your children to regulate their emotions. 
• DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENINGS: During our fair, parents who want to see if their toddler or preschooler is developing appropriately, Prince George County Schools will also be conducting developmental screenings for children ages birth through 4 years of age.
